The MilkMan (Story Changes/Expanding)

I have also come up with some different idea in which i can change some aspects of the story.
The main difference is on the actually character of the milkman. I have notice that the history of the character may need more of an explanation.

One way i can change the story is by showing that the milkman is an Martial arts expert who has escaped his home country where he was an 'elder' at a temple. He escaped because he destroyed the temple and the whole village turned to take revenge. He found England as a safe-haven and has been posing as a milkman ever since.

Another direction in which i could take the movie is to make the milkman into a vigilante. After he beats two of the friends, he then hears the story of the dilemmas the friends are in and decides to help them to beat the crime boss.

It not just the character that can change, i could also take the movie in a complete new direction. when the friend and the milkman have a stand off, the owner of the house is awaken by the noise and knocks out the milkman and the friend. he then locks them up in his basement and the two have to work together in order to survive.

Storyboard

This was a rough storyboard to how the movie will be planned out.

The first scene will be the friends approaching the milkman

After this the story will go into flashback sequences for each of the friends tell the viewers of how they go into this situation

the flashback sequence will lead us to where the story began. To which e story will continue and the friends will fight with the milkman

The final scene will be of one of the friend attacking the milkman and the milkman in the air trying to kick him. the scene will freeze before they make contact and the movie will end.

The MilkMan (Storyboarding Idea)

I have a couple of ideas in which the movie (The MilkMan - Previous blog) will be shot.

The first idea will be shot and the story is told using real time, such as Reservoir Dog (1992) or Crank (2006). The story follow them as they prepare to rob the milkman.

Another way the movie could be shot is by using flashback. The movie opens up with the three friend approaching the milkman. the story then uses flashback to tell each of the friend story. It will also show the story of the milkman.

Also the movie could be told using a voice-over as a character device. The story can be old from the point of view of one of the friends. This technique will make the auidence more bias towards the character who is giving the voice-over.

The MilkMan

The milkman is a movie idea. It is about three friends who are in debt with a local crime boss and need a quick way to make some money. They decided that they are going to rob The local milkman, who delivers to nearly everyone. They find out the milkman collect all the money on a monthly basis. The milkman makes his money collections rounds on a night and then delivers the milk the following morning. The Three friend think this is a good idea as when he delivers his milk no one is around to see, it is still fairly dark and he will have the money with him from the night before. The three friend agree and are ready to go through with it. They then start to prepare. The day arrives and they are hiding out ready to rob the milkman. The milkman parks his van in a street and carries the milk for the whole street with him. The three friend assume the money will be in the van. They silently break in and quickly realise that the money is not there. They then come to the conclusion that the milkman will have the money on him. They sneak up on the milkman while he is putting the milk down, and without turning around he warns them not to do it if they want to live. The three friend look at each other and start laughing. The Milkman turns around and is attacked by one of the friends he protects himself and breaks his arm with ease. The two another friends panic and in rage another friend attack the milkman, He then again hits the attacker and knocks him out. The last friend standing is amazed and ask him where did he learn to fight like that. The milkman says that it is none of his business and tells him to fight or run. The friend then tells him he sorry and tries to explain why they are doing it. After listening to his reason the milkman laughs. The friend then say 'the hell with it' and they both run to each other, the milkman jumps and delieves a flying kick while the friend goes to punch. The movie ends.

Madusa

I took this image of a women which was spray painted on a wall in Bradford. The image is of a women who looks like Medusa. Medusa was once very beautiful and lived far in the north were the sun didn't visit. Being very curious, she wanted to see the sun, and asked the Goddess Athena for permission to visit the south. Athena refused to allow her to visit. Then Medusa got angry and dared to say that Athena hadn't given her permission because she was jealous of her beauty. that was it, Athena was angered and punished her by turning her hair into snakes and cursing her by making her so ugly that who ever looks at her eyes would turn into stone, ironic as it was painted on a wall.

Caravaggio painted two versions of Medusa, the first in 1596 and the other was painted around 1597, The first version also known as Murtula, by the name of the poet who wrote about it is signed Michel A F, (Michel Angelo Fecit) and is in private hands whilst the second version, slightly bigger is not signed.

In Greek mythology, Perseus used the severed snake-haired head of the Gorgon Medusa as a shield with which to turn his enemies to stone. By the 16th century Medusa was said to symbolize the triumph of reason over the senses.

The Incident (Location Idea)

I took this image in Bradford. It has a very dark tone, giving the feeling that this is an abandoned place. There is rubbish lying around, in the distance we can see a rubbish skip. The top part of the image is of a roof which has cracks in it and it allows some light in, this gives the image a dark and dingy atmosphere. The floor is also stained with what seems like oil. The place seems run down and may not have been used for a long time. I think this would be a good location to shoot the movie idea from previous blog entitled 'The Incident' as it has the right feel for what the subject matter covers. The location can be used as the two characters hide out, sleeping and/or storage area as it compliments the dark storyline.

Malcolm X

Malcolm X was an African-American Muslim minister, public speaker, and human rights activist. In 1946, Malcolm X was sentenced to eight to ten years in prison. While in prison, Malcolm X became a member of the Nation of Islam. After his parole in 1952, he became one of the Nation's leaders and chief spokesmen. He was the public face of the Nation of Islam. Tension between Malcolm X and Elijah Muhammad, head of the Nation of Islam, led to Malcolm X's departure from the organization in March 1964. After leaving the Nation of Islam, Malcolm X became a Sunni Muslim and made a pilgrimage to Mecca, after which he disavowed racism. He traveled extensively throughout Africa and the Middle East. He founded Muslim Mosque, Inc., a religious organization. Less than a year after he left the Nation of Islam, Malcolm X was assassinated while giving a speech in New York.

On the left is a famous image of Malcolm X holding a rifle looking outside his window. This picture was taken after Malcolm had received numerous amount of death threats. During this time some people even attacked Malcolm's home where they threw burning rocks into his house. The burning rocks hit the room where his three daughters were sleeping. Malcolm X was furious and had been reported to have said that if had seen the suspects he would have got his riffle and shot them on sight. Know the previous events this image has significant power. The image shows Malcolm X looking out his window holding a riffle, as to indicate that he is watching and is ready to take action. The image has more of an effect because his finger is on the trigger. The expression on his face is very serious as to indicate that this is not a joke and he is not just doing it to take the photograph.

Ra's al Ghul

Ra's al Ghul is a DC Comics supervillain and is one of Batman's greatest enemies. His name is Arabic for "The Demon's Head," and references the name of the star Algol. Created by writer Dennis O'Neil and artist Neal Adams, he was introduced in Batman #232's "Daughter of the Demon" (June 1971). Given his high status as a supervillain, he has also come into conflict with Superman and other superheroes in the DC Universe.
Ra's al Ghul is an international terrorist and assassin whose ultimate goal is a world in perfect environmental balance. He believes that the best way to achieve this balance is to eliminate most of humanity. Ra's usually tries to assault the world's human populace with a biological weapon, such as a genetically-engineered virus. He is aided in this quest by the Lazarus Pits, reservoirs of rejuvenating chemicals that restore the dying to life; these pits have granted him a lifespan of several centuries.

Good Vs Evil

Idea for a Television series. This is about general people who are faced with moral question decisions. When they get in a situation a little cartoon angel pops up on the right should and a little cartoon devil pops up on the left shoulder. They tell the person whether to do the right thing or the opposite. During arguing the right or wrong thing, the cartoon devil gets heated while the cartoon angel stay cool and tries to outsmart the devil using wit and common sense.

Each episode has different dilemmas , but i doesn't just focus on the person making a decision, It also develops a story between the devil and angle

The fact that the angel and devil are cartoon figures gives the whole concept a light hearted feel.

The Incident

This is a movie idea. The story is about two homeless heroin addicts who are best friends. They have been through a lot together and practically share everything. The two friend have a routine which they both follow, this allows them to complete the week in which the are able to survive on food, shelter and their weekly fix of heroin. As weeks go on the couple start to find it hard to comply with the routine and start to struggle with surviving. one week the friends haven't ate much in order to have enough money for their weekly fix. the time come to see how much money their have and their relies they only have enough for one fix. The friend start to fight as who should get the heroin. the fight gets out of hand and one of the friend kills the other and runs off to get his fix. As the adrenaline is pumping through him he quickly injects himself with heroin as he think his friend is right on his tail. later, as he has come 'down ' from his high, he relies what he has done and breaks down. The Movie ends.

I had various approaching in which this could be show. the first was as a documentary, in which the character are telling the audience what they do and how. Another way in which it could be show is in segment, the first introducing the character, the second telling about the routine and finally shows the incident. Yet another approach could be showing it as what happened on the day of the incident, in which we see the character talking about the past and then the incident takes place and audience follows it as it happens.

Scary Movie

Scary Movie is a 2000 Comedy/Spoof film directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans. It is an American dark comedy which parodies the horror genres. Several mid-and late-1990s films are spoofed, including 'The Sixth Sense', 'The Usual Suspects', 'The Matrix', and 'The Blair Witch Project', with a significant portion of the film's plot being dedicated to the more subtle horror film parody series 'Scream' and 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'.

Film Parodies

Film Parodies are comedies that satirises other genres or films. The concept used in these is sarcasm, an example of this is 1980 movie Airplane!, which consistes of many random jokes. Another element key element is mocking other films, an example of this is the 1996 movie 'Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood'. The film spoof a number of 'coming to age "hood" movies' such as 'Juice', 'South Central', 'Menace II Society', 'New Jack City' and mainly 'Boyz N The Hood'.

(3) After the the next is shot is of a black screen and a gun-shot is heard. (4) We then cut back anda man laying on the floor is shown. He is lying in a pool of blood indicating that he has been shot. (5) The murderer is shown. the murderer is 'Red' from the M&M's, emphasizing on the 'M' in Dial 'M' for Murder.

Carrotblanca

Carrotblanca is a 8 minute Looney Tunes cartoon which was made in 1995. It is a parody and a homage to the classic 1942 movie Casablanca. Bugs Bunny portrays the role of Rick who was played by Humphrey Bogat in he original. Daffy Duck stars as Sam, Pepe Le Pew as Captain Renault and Penelope Pussycat portrays llsa but is called Kitty Ketty.

Carrotblanca also plays on some of the quotes from he classic movie. In the original Rick says "Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine". In Carrotblanca Bugs Bunny says "Of all the juice joint in all the towns in all the country in all the worlds so picks this one"

Carrotblanca is an excellent homage to the classic Casablanca film.

Casablanca

Casablanca was made in 1942. It stars Humphrey Bogat as Rick Blaine, who owns a nightclub in Casablanca, discovers his old flame Ilsa (played by Ingrid Bergman) is in town with her husband, Victor Laszlo (played by Paul Henried). Laszlo is a Resistance leader, and with Germans on his tail, Ilsa knows Rick can help them get out of the country - but will he?

The Picture is of Rick and Ilas. from looking at the picture it shows us that the two people are in a very deep conversation. the black and white effect on the image gives it a bolder feel. The way they are dress also shows us that it is set in the 1930s, in comparison to the 1930 movies such as Public Enemy, Little Caesar and 'G' men (too name a few).

Casablanca is also famous for having memorable quotes used in the movie.

Lunchtime Atop A Skyscraper

Lunch Atop a Skyscraper is a famous photograph taken in 1932 by Charles C. Ebbets during construction of the RCA Building at Rockefeller Center. The photograph shows 11 men eating lunch, seated on a girder with their feet dangling hundreds of feet above the New York City streets.

Ebbets took the photo on September 29, 1932, and it appeared in the New York Herald Tribune in its Sunday photo supplement on October 2. Taken on the 69th floor of the GE Building during the last several months of construction, the photograph Men Asleep on a Girder shows the same workers napping on the beam.

The copyright owner of the photograph, the Bettman Archive, did not recognize Charles C. Ebbets as the photographer until October 2003 (reportedly after months of investigation by a private investigation firm). However, authorship of the photograph, popular as a poster, was listed as 'Unknown' on many prints.

Monochrome

Monochrome photography is where the image is produced in one colour or shade of one colour. Monochrome images in a neutral colours are also known as gray scale or black-and-white. Personally I believe these type of effects gives the image a stronger feel.

This is an image i took of an abandoned room. There are four staggered chairs, a table with a hot drinks cup on it. the room is illuminated by the light coming in from the window located behind it. It images seem to focus of the room itself. The image is taken from the aspect of the door, as if you were walking past it and noticed something. It seems as if whoever was in the room was interrupted by something that happened outside the room. One of the chairs is facing towards the window, maybe whoever was sat there may have noticed something outside the window.
